Air rotation is a total conditioning system, with general ventilation that results in no stratification and vertical temperature control, as well as low energy and maintenance costs. Air rotation units are extremely efficient for structures with large, open spaces or high ceilings, such as warehouses.
How Do They Work?
Air rotation units work by returning the air in a space to the unit multiple times in an hour. This results in the even temperature distribution of conditioned air, so much so that the temperature will not vary by more than plus or minus two degrees Fahrenheit from a set point. With regard to building height, the measured temperature variation will indicate a maximum 2 degree temperature rise for every 10 foot increase in elevation.

Air Rotation Units in Action
BCH placed air rotation systems at Val-Pak (Cox Target Media), in their large manufacturing space to cool a nearly 100,000 sq. ft. space. We also installed these systems at Premier Beverage, in a large wine storage area, and most recently, at Bay Care Integrated Service Center (BISC), where they needed air conditioned product storage. The large, open and high volume spaces that require air conditioning are perfect applications to the air rotation systems. Air rotation units distribute conditioned air more evenly, preventing hot and cold spots and eliminating large variations in temperature between the top and bottom of the space, even with rack systems in a manufacturing facility. In addition, the reduced number of parts and the ability to service at ground level results in fewer maintenance hours and downtime.
