BCH Mechanical Celebrates It’s 40th Anniversary

This year, BCH Mechanical celebrates it’s 40th anniversary. Four decades in an industry where many firms come and go, unable to weather the changes in technology, market cycles, and customer needs. We owe our longevity, in part, to our ability to adapt and innovate. Throughout our history, the BCH team has continually expanded services and honed skills in order to provide general contractors, owners, and building occupants with a product that would exceed their expectations.

From Humble Beginnings to Sustained Growth

Founded October 19, 1976, BCH began as a specialty HVAC contractor performing small mall stores and projects that lasted less than 30 days, to ensure good cash flow. Over the years, the company has grown both in size and in services offered, placing an emphasis on innovative technology, continual improvement, and customer service. In 1982, for example, BCH began fabricating sheet metal for its projects in the firm’s own private facility. In 1985, the firm expanded into plumbing and medical gas, now a key component of its hospital and industrial services.

In 1991, an HVAC service division was created, ConServ Building Services, which would successfully venture into full HVAC preventative maintenance and repair, and also move into electrical, plumbing, and general service.

40 Years of Exceeding Expectations

As of today, our firm has grown its talented workforce to over 600 associates, a team which has built a reputation for excellence. Numerous major projects in Tampa Bay have BCH Mechanical installations including hospitals, like Tampa General, Lakeland Regional, and St. Joseph’s; hotels, like Wyndham and Aqualea on Clearwater Beach; hospitality facilities like Raymond James Stadium, Lowery Park Zoo, and One Buc Place; office buildings like USAA Insurance, Nielsen Media, Progressive Insurance, and Ceridian; and laboratories, like Moffitt, Burnham, Draper, and more. BCH is also a trusted partner in critical design-build, design assist, energy driven/LEED projects with expertise in projects including hospitals, labs, data centers, and universities.

Currently, BCH Mechanical is still expanding, recruiting talent for both the construction side and the service side of the business to meet the ever-growing demand for skilled mechanical craftsmen and technicians. Our service division offers commercial HVAC service and maintenance across the Southeast from 11 support branch offices, which enables the company to provide HVAC service in the entire Southeast United States.
